Previous Mercury Prize nominees and this newly down sized four-piece pride themselves on side-stepping convention with incendiary results, tearing apart the jazz world with their avant-jazz-euphoric-rock explosions of improvisation.

Six Organs of Admittance - a moniker of Ben Chasny - have built a prolific and diverse body of work over the last 20+ years. Ben Chasny's project is an experimental amalgam of new and psychedelic folk, drone music, percussion and strange textures, with Chasny delivering an outpouring of eclectic releases in the early 2000s for various small labels before finding a longstanding home on Drag City.

But each of us may experience and articulate what we have heard differently. Toad Lickers Film Club presents a screening of the 1971 cult documentary The Moon and the Sledgehammer which follows the eccentric lives of the Page family living off-grid in rural West Sussex.

Mr Vast – aka Henry Sargeant – previously frontman for the legendary Wevie Stonder, dubbed by the BBC as “the Monty Python of electronic music”. Expanding on the same brand of anarchic comedy and wild fusion of musical influences, Mr Vast is a one-man show that resists easy definitions: a slapstick cabaret, a surrealist happening, an avant-garde concert, a tragicomic carnival, an ecstatic ritual.
