ACCESSIBILITY AT THE ROSE HILL
This website is a work in progress so please let us know if there is anything else you would like to see here. We are going to have some photos here soon.
We are proud to be taking significant steps in making The Rose Hill more accessible for our community and visitors. We now have accessible gender neutral toilets in use at the venue. Due to a human error during building works in the sweltering heat, the door entry is 140cm (10cm short of the required measurements in order to officially say that it is ‘accessible’). Although we have had positive feedback from users, we are working on fixing this error and plan to rectify it ASAP.
Entry to the rose hill
The venue iss accessed via a ramp at the front door. We have had reports from visitors that some people find it slightly steep; if you think you may need assistance getting into the venue please let us know ahead of your visit so that our bar staff will know to expect you.
Once in the venue the first level gives access to the coat rack, bar, dancefloor/seating area, toilets and outdoor smoking area (both accesssible via ramp).
the main space
For lots of our events there is mixed limited seating available in the main space, including a selection of cushioned church pues (which can fit 2/3 people), low stools, bar stools, a rocking chair, a cosy armchair & a few wooden chairs with backs.
If you need to reserve a seat(s) for specific accessibility needs, please let us know* by dropping us a line (email below) in advance of event (ideally a week before your visit if possible!). You do not need to explain why you need this seat reserved and no questions as to why will be asked.
*Please note, that depending on how busy a show gets, the seating available may vary - so please do get in touch asap if you are definitely needing a seat and we will always do our best to accomodate.
Carers can come in free just let us know for numbers.
