BBG Basics

  • The Rose Hill 70 Rose Hill Terrace Brighton, England, BN1 4JL United Kingdom (map)

Saturday 10th September | 7pm | £3 suggested donation

BBG is a new Brighton-based collective of DJs who want to leverage one another as non-binary, trans, women, queer and gender non-conforming folk within electronic music.

Got a great song collection but feel daunted by decks? Sick of having to elbow your way through crowds of men to get your tunes heard? Just want to listen to some great music in a safe space?

Welcome to BBG Brighton’s first open-decks workshop, where no matter your skill level, you can come along to get a taste of what it’s like to DJ.

BBG will be deconstructing some DJ lingo, and giving everyone the chance to practice mixing one song into another. Both vinyl decks and XDJs will be available on the night, so whatever your preference, you'll have the space to practice. Bring your favourite records down, songs on a USB stick, or have a go on BBG’s collection.

Please note: ticket link is for the workshop which runs from 7-9pm, spaces are limited so get these booked! From 9pm, unlimited entry will be available on the door on a donation basis, where BBG will be playing live sets spanning UKG, jungle, d&b, bass, breaks and more.
