Presenting a stimulating programme of avant-garde films, this Synch Pulse explores concepts and depictions of time and space. This will include quantifying and registering time; fragmentation, resequencing, and disruption of linear action; and compression and expansion of moments in time through cutting, slow motion and time lapse. These are some of the elements featured in this selection of unusual shorts from filmmakers working in the experimental field.

Synch Pulse is a monthly free entry experimental film night featuring a different theme for each programme, represented by archive and contemporary shorts, animations, documentaries, vintage adverts and trailers, and public information films. With a strong emphasis on electronic music and experimental soundtracks, the evenings are compiled and presented by artist, musician and filmmaker Ian Helliwell.
