An eclectic and wonderful all-dayer to raise funds for The Carers Centre - to support activities for young carers in Brighton. In light of the West's breakneck compulsion to destroy itself, the centre has had a bunch of funding pulled, so let's raise some money to give these awesome young people exciting and creative opportunities outside of their often difficult home and school lives.
JORGE'S HOT CLUB
Having habitually seduced us every Sunday at The White Rabbit for the last few months with their high-energy sandblast of klezmer, jazz and gypsy tones, we asked these guys to headline the fundraiser and they very graciously and enthusiastically said 'YEAH!'.
THE ACADEMY OF SUN
Nick Hudson's gnostic orchestral post-punk juggernaut, playing only their second show of the year, having been working on a new record for the last few months. Expect loud. Expect a writhing violinist. And expect velvet.

Jon Griffin's 21 Crows usher forth a gorgous, droning, sometimes mortifying, always compelling mythic landscape of their own. Folk...goth...drone...murder ballads...either way, they're one of our favourite bands in Brighton and we cant wait to hear them again.

There will be various performances by the young carers themselves throughout the day/evening, and indeed they will be running around with glittery buckets in which you might kindly donate some sheckles to the cause!
