*Rescheduled*Alexander Tucker + Kemper Norton + Hákarl

A co-promotion from Yeah go on Then and Ceremonial laptop brings a night of fresh soundscapes and shoegazing ballads. Experimental Indie worlds colliding.

Alexander Tucker is capable of creating immense sounds on such a grand scale that it is astounding to realize that it is (mostly) all the work of just one man. He is one of Britain’s most forward-thinking songwriters and sound sculptors. Whether through collaborative work with Imbogodom, Grumblin Fur, Sunn O)))'s Stephen O'Malley (and countless others) or through his solo projects that survey drone to folk ballads, his is an unusual talent.

His fascination with improvised sound and field recordings are a huge part of his soundscapes, along with tape loops, cello, mandolin, FX pedals and, at one point, the hum of the trains that were part of his domestic soundscape while he lived above Warren Street station.

Kemper Norton uses digital and analogue hardware and software, acoustic instruments , field recordings and traditional song to explore neglected or original areas of landscape and folklore.

"Norton seems to have an extra sensory knack of creating something moving, eerie and somewhat chilling out of almost nothing.” – The Wire

“The music of Kemper Norton streaks across the ages like a tipsy beachcomber, enthusiastically and expertly skipping across time’s tide ...” – The Quietus

Hákarl (Kev Nickells) is a locally based multi-instrumentalist everyperson. A jack of many trades, and uniquely talented in each one.
