Wild Anima is the Parisienne singer and musician Alex Alexopolous, who crafts beautiful nature- and mythology-inspired avant-pop songs with influences from techno, ambient and choral music. Alex’s two albums for Blue Tapes won praise from the likes of NTS Radio and The Quietus, who compared her stark, voice-only Songs From Above release enthusiastically to Carlo Gesualdo, William Basinski, Keiji Haino’s Nijiumu, The KLF’s Chill Out, Pandit Pran Nath and even Enya!
Anyone with a sympathetic ear for delicate, healing electronic pop inhabiting the expanse between Julee Cruise and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith will find much to love here. Alex will be premiering new material as part of this European tour.
Support comes from Blue Tapes founder David McNamee, who will be debuting his solo project Thank You, Merciless Onlookers - collage music made out of software-treated harmonium, piano, glockenspiel and field recordings.
